WHO WILL REPLACE STEVE JOBS?


After the cancer sickness of Steve Jobs who assumed the biggest part of today's Apple is to move forward, but he went out of business. It is a big discussion subject : Who will replace to Steve Jobs for the place of finance and technology world ?

It has been forward putted that the creative side of Apple who revolutionize to the music,smart phone and tablet world after it released iPod, iPhone and iPad will become thin afterSteve Jobs went out of business. Even Steve Jobs tells Tim Cook contributed a big effect foriPhone and iPad, industry agreed for the sight of  these products quickened thru Steve Jobs.

After Steve Jobs resigned from the company the authorized manager of Apple told that” Apple will continue to be a shiny company” with one voice.

This five who have got a big role with Steve Jobs to be a valuablist company of the world with 350 billion dollars market value after petrol company Exxon open for 141 years, will carry to a big load on them.

Peter Oppenheimer who is at the head of finance joined at 1996 to technology giant. He officiated CEO mission of different companies by this time. He sat on to the seat of technology market  again by Apple and he was with Tim Cook about the design and technology subject alongside finance. He supported  Tim Cook to be a CEO.

Porter's Competitive Model


(a)    The threat of entry of New Competitors
Among the toughest competition you can see this days are in gadgets. Recently  Apple Inc. launched their new smartphone called ‘Iphone 4’ . With its sophisticated feature and elegant looks it became the most wanted smartphone. However, new competitor have recently penetrated the market to take reign of Iphone 4. S such, Samsung Galaxy S2 gave the toughest competition for Iphone 4 in terms of lower price and similar feature.

(b)   The Bargaining Power Supply
Powerful supplier control the price. Tenaga Nasional Berhad is the largest electricity company and is the only company that provides electricity to the people of Malaysia . The bargaining power of TNB is big as they control the price and the people in Malaysia have no choice but to pay the price that have been stated in their bills.

(c)    The Bargaining Power of Customer
Buyer power is high when buyers have many choices. For example, whenever we do our grocery shopping we have the higher bargaining power because we have multiple option. For an instance, buying a shampoo products can sometime be a nuisance as they have various brands.

(d)   The Threat of Substitute Products or Services
Substitute  products are products with the same satisfaction. The higher the substitute threat the higher the threat the converse is also true. For example the creation of MP3, MP4, IPOD and etc have totally remove the existence of Walkman and Discman form the market. Nowadays people do not even know that these two items even existed due to the advance in technology.

(e)   The Rivalry among existing firms in the industry
The threat is high when there is intense competition and the converse is also true. In Malaysia, the intense competition an be seen in the grocery industry such as GIANT and TESCO. They essentially compete on price and sometimes products. Both companies offer promotion, discounted items, gives shopping  vouchers and many other thing that can attract customers.

The World is FLAT!





 The title 'The World is Flat" by Thomas Friedman is a metaphor for viewing the world as a level playing field in which all competitors have an equal opportunity to succeed. It is a fair game with no repression. Before globalization 3.0 , various countries and multinational company were not familiar with the term nationwide communication nor cooperation. Everyone was in their shell and wants to achieve success by themselves. In the era of globalization 3.0, everything came tumbling down with the fall of Berlin Wall. It allowed people from all around the globe to join the economic mainstream. The race of mankind grew together with the advancement of technology. As a student,  Flat world simply projects to us as receiving countless information from the World Wide Web. With the latest technology, network communication has allowed us to share information with the world in a blink of an eye. For students, knowledge has never been a shortage. Hence, flat world is beneficial to all mankind.
